The Arisity Communicator is a Windows NT/2000/XP program that automates the process of downloading and uploading files, via Arisity's secure server, to and from the Control Center, Recruitment Center, and the Partner Center. The download process transfers data files from your designated Download Manager slot(s) to a local directory. The upload process transfers your formatted record files up to the Recruitment Center and student transcript files up to the Control Center for further processing.
The Communicator has built-in scheduling capability which allows you to set the preferences for transferring files. Also, it can be configured to launch external programs and scripts and/or transfer files to a designated FTP server to initiate pre and post- processing tasks. The Arisity Communicator data transfer report contains information about the status of transfers, the number of records transferred, and more.
Communicator can be set as a 'Service' or an 'Application' – depending on your business needs and practices for transferring data.
